The Lambda is standard: it is started whenever a request arrives and it is disposed after response.

Hello, thanks for this . So does this mean the container instance is no longer required to be running constantly to serve a request . Whenever there are no requests to serve the Lambda Function will scale down and thereby saving on the cost that one would otherwise spend if the same image is running in ECS . Is my thought process right ?

The Lambda is standard: it is started whenever a request arrives and it is disposed after response. Just the package phase is different, using OCI format.
